During the gray, wintry days of Berlin, David decided that we would buy mountain bikes when we returned to New York and the weather turned spring. David has researched mountain bikes voraciously -- if not impressively and obsessively -- for the last few months. And voila! Earlier this week, all his detailed and thorough research paid off and he bought us bikes! I am still a novice mountain biker, but I have aspirations. Apparently there are mountain bike trails around Manhattan and the outer boroughs. We have already ridden up and down the Westside Highway bike/roller-blade path, and, I must say, the bikes are super duper awesome.
With any luck I could be a hard-bodied mountain biker... real tough-like, but hopefully not butch. First, I will need to get outfits to fit the part, of course.
